The 1313 Effect is very proud to be going to Burning Man!!!!!!
We will be running the most elaborate lightshow we have ever done at Gravity Point! We are located at 10 O'clock and A-street, right next to Root Society on the corner!!! We will be featuring a full week of insane visuals with and amazing camp, at an amazing location, with amazing epople, playing with amazing DJ's. in the most amazing place on earth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, tickets are still on sale... sell a limb if you have to, but go!!!!!!
AFTERDARK IS BACK!!!!!!!
After a lonely and quiet hiatus to allow you to sleep for a while, afterdark has returned!!!! It will now be held at the "Little On-Air" space that is located at the corner of Mississippi and Interstate. (see map below) It is close to the Big On Air space and is run by the same sweet people! The new space is going to be a big improvement over the Ararat. The lights will be more intense and elaborate... the space is bigger and increasing in size as we speak... (construction being done by yours truly!)... and the new location and hours will make these amazing nights even more potent!!!!! THIS IS GONNA BE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!

FIRE WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey everyone, I will write up a full review of this completely inspiring event once I am back from Burning Man and I have 2 seconds to rub together!!
In the meantime... here are some quotes about the show from North West Tekno's review of Fire section... F I R E ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Now lets say...........YEAAAAAAAHYEAAAAAAAAA! ! ! ! ! ! Besides the MASSiVE dust cloud, I now no how Pig Pen felt on Charlie Brown,......Chauf chauf, choke choke, hak,......from all the loose 4inch dirt dust........But I do gots to say the Main Stage and the Dubb Step stage kicked some major ass for all the dirt people out there! ! !! great party the transforming main stage was one of the coolest things vie seen in dayz. the geo dome was pretty sweet as well. lots of good music. roommate and noah d smashed it!!!!!!!! dropped some crazyyy shit thanks to all who made it happen These days, I don?t go to more than one or two parties a year but boy am I glad I went to THIS one! I never counted them myself, but I think Hugo said there were something like seven stages! I can only wonder how many hundreds of people were there! The main stage blew my mind. I REALLY enjoyed all the lighting. Too often, outdoor parties skimp on the lighting. I'm sure a big chunk of change was dropped on generators and fuel, but the BIG sound and Numerous lights were Well Enjoyed! Thanks guys! There was a healthy turn out and everyone that I talked to had a good time. A lot of people mentioned that this is one of the best outdoors that they have ever experienced. People were still dancing Sunday afternoon. All I have to say is that Fire was fucking rad! I always look forward to it and this year did not disappoint!! There were so many stages and people all over the location! I saw lots of old faces and met a shit ton of new people. The main stage setup so awesome, much props to the crew for showing how it's done in the middle of the forest! Everyone I met had great energy and vibes. My legs and arms are sore from all the dancing and I love it! Fire is a NW tradition and I was happy to be there. I can?t wait for next year's! Good job everyone who played and helped with the event! I will say this. Fire went off in huge ways. I had a really good time and got to see a lot of old friends. Even met a lot of new people while I was at it. Everyone seemed to have a good time. Top sets of the night (that I caught) : Noah D and Roommate, Hatcha, Keys, Triage, Electrokid vs Suff-x, and Manoj's morning set was perfect. The big downside was all of the shady things that were going on. The problem with a party this big is that you get a ton of douchebags in attendance. But other than that. Great time. The sound was amazing, the main stage looked incredible, and the sunrise on the hillside was epic. Thanks guys! Visuals on the main stage kicked serious ass. One of the best looking stages I have ever seen at an outdoor. Music was going all night and with 7 stages if I wasn?t down with the music at one stage I would just wander to the next. So many stages of music the dnb stage was packed all night and mainstage was bad ass the dubstep stage needed way more bass hatcha had the speakers sounding like rice crispys This party was simply AMAZING. simply AMAZING. Best outdoor of vie ever been to in my life, let alone had the chance of being a part of. almost really beyond words. Every stage this year looked fantastic and had their own unique qualities, the vibe was thick everywhere all night. Conclusion: thanks to everyone involved with this. Outstanding job, outstanding production values, we at bassland all agreed it was one of our favorite events to be a apart of thus far, and cant wait for the next one Who made the screen for the main stage? The artwork was amazing! Did you see the back/lighting for it?! That was impressive. O_O Attended fire with reservations. I had formed an opinion about the event based on a lot of rumors, which turned out to be mostly false. I?m really glad that I attended. The overall vibe of the party was positive. The site was amazing and totally worth the drive. bassland did a great job with their little corner and the mainstage was all around impressive. Thanks to everyone who put time and effort into making the event happen. Cheers: Actually Fire was an amazing coming together of a ton of crews and musical genres. With all the sound out there it was amazing that there was no sound interference/confusion. The location was perfect with the circle loop assuring that people kept moving. BIG SHOUT OUT to the HAS system. GREAT sound. Should have been the main stage sound system. You guys killed it. When you have 50000 watts you don't need to push individual speakers and you get an amazing FULL LOUD sound. Changed the way I look at Yamaha speakers for sure.
Goodbye to Ohm for now...
Well, it looks like I will need to get a regular job soon since lighting is not yet supporting me enough for me to remain unemployed"ish". Because of this, I will have to limit most of my shows to Saturdays and this means I will no longer be able to do the Wednesdays or Fridays at the Ohm anymore.
I want to thank Taylor for giving me a chance to get in there and do the shows I did there and giving me the freedom to have some real fun while I was there! I really like that venue and hope to be able to do some more stuff there in the future! I would also like to give a special thank you to Eric who was amazingly supportive of what we did in there and gave a ton of help and was just a great guy!
